Glasgow based multi-instrumentalist and composer Andy Clark graduated with a Bachelor of Music degree from Glasgow University in 2001. Specialising in composition under the supervision of Scottish composer William Sweeney, Andy also achieved a Diploma from the Associated Board of the Royal School of Music in Pianoforte performance under the tuition of Walter Blair – acclaimed pianist and Director of Music at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama. After graduating Andy spent some time working with Australian composer Graham Hair, and Scottish historian Kenneth Elliott (Musica Scottica), whilst also playing the Piano at Glasgow's Hilton Grovsner Hotel. Currently lecturing in Music at Langside College, Glasgow, Andy teaches Piano, Guitar, Bass guitar and Saxophone. Andy plays piano and guitar for many functions including piano bars, weddings, shows. Playing regularly with 'Crowded Croft' Ceilidh band, and also continues to compose in many styles and genres. His fluency in midi sequencing is a great asset to his orchestral compositions, and he hopes to develop the two techniques by writing Music for Film and TV. Likewise, Andy’s ability to play the piano, guitar, bass guitar and saxophone are also of great benefit in recording the many songs which he writes and produces.
